Well you'll get to see if the air sac has dipped that will tell you something. And you can smell and listen to the egg. May not see movement since the ducklings would take up most of the egg by now. Are you sure no eggs were laid at a later date so you'd have some late hatchers? Plus if ducklings were hatched on July 2nd mamas will usually leave the nest around day 3 of hatching so they may save you any trouble of making them get up. I'd sure still candle and listen even if they leave the nest just to make sure you don't have any late hatching.

Thanks Miss Lydia. The Mama's rarely leave the nest and the Muscovy is VERY Broody. I got her off the nest this morning to see how many eggs were left (they started with 6). 5 are left with one being very dark in color. My thought is it is rotten or I will have another duckling soon. I will let them go till the weekend, then I believe them to be goners.
