I love Muscovy ducks they are the best! I've been watching them for awhile because I live in Florida and there are thousands of feral Muscovy here. My 4 girls are named Penguin, Pigeon, Puffin, and Karen and they are all different rescue situations.

I think they are just pied black and whiteThey are all sooo beautiful!!! What color are they considered??
Oh okay.I think they are just pied black and white
I want to say those are the typical colors for wild ones. When I lived in Texas, they looked black and white. They are native to parts of Texas. I believe the white head is the standard genetic trait.I think they are just pied black and white

Haha that one is Pigeon, Karen is the furthest away from me in that vid.I love the sassy brown one perched up on the boardsIs that one Karen?
Well, at least from my understanding the truly wild ones are almost entirely black, but the ones that are black and white, just mostly black are generally feral domestic groups and not truly wild. Although if you were in Texas you might have seen some truly wild ones, as Texas is the only state in the US where they are truly wild and not invasive domestics like we have here in Florida.I want to say those are the typical colors for wild ones. I love Muscovies! I have 3 right now . Two hens and a drake. Hoping to increase my flock when they have babies.I have seen a lot of duck clubs, but none on this awesome looking duck!! Who doesn’t like Muscovys? I thought I would start one, that way we can learn from others, share pictures, storys, etc.
How I got into to them:
I have just recently got into this breed and love them already. I was given a brown barred drake and he needed hens ASAP so I got two duckling for him...well the day I got the ducklings he flew away to ponds near by (still have not caught him). Anyway, as the ducklings grew one turned out to be a male soo...I have been on the search for hens and and after a while (contacting a good bit of people who would not get back to me about the hens) got 5 other Muscovy hens for my big boy! I’ll post pictures later![]()
