I have a very similar Wyandotte/EE cross that looks like the gold and black boy! Weird

I would love to see a close up of the gold one in the first pic, very beautiful! I see lots of mixed, EE, silkie mix and... More mixes!

So fun! Thanks! They are pretty But hopefully they'll be pretty yummy too! They're free-ranging again, since I can recognize these guys among the flock. I had them quarantined for photo attempting purposes, and now they're with the rest of the crew till they head off to freezer camp.

Actually, if roo #4 is a Sultan, you may find he is yummy, and tender, too. Some researchers have associated the crested breeds with short muscle fibers, genetically. And short muscle fibers are associated with tender (i.e., not stringy) meat.
