Need help with malpositioned pigeon chick!!

Pics
No signs from the other egg, its worrying me a little :hmm i candled it and couldnt see any movement, i didnt want to take him out too long or disturb him so hopefully when i looked he was just having a rest :fl

Looks like you have a Brinsea Mini or Maxi? If you place the egg just right, about an inch or two from the edge, and the air cell end aimed outward, you may be able to shine thru the window and see inside the egg. I can do it in my Mini. This isn’t the Mini, but this is what i mean. :)

Thats cool!

Yeah its a brinsea mini! I took him out for another look about 30 mins ago and still no movement, im expecting the worst :( there isnt anything i can do is there ? Also gave just gave him another feed and i have noticed some got stuck in one of his nostrils and i cant get it out!! Is he going to suffocate ?!!!
Id give it a little time. If you can, post a pic of candling it. We might be able to help you decide, if we can see in the air cell...:)
Idk about the baby... @biophiliac are you still around?:fl

I'm just getting ready to check out for the night. I can't imagine he's the only chick to ever get some food stuck in a nostril so I hope and expect he'll be ok. :fl @WVduckchick does this happen to ducks?

Rest well everybody.:)

Ducks start out on chick crumbles or somthing similar. But they do have to have water deep enough to rinse their nostrils when they eat. So yes it does, but they have a way of dealing with themselves. Idk how the pigeon could do something like that. But im not a pigeon peep, yet...
And correct me please if im not explaing the duck thing right , duck friends..:)
Gnight and sleep well! :frow

It does happen to ducks, but they can noodle in the water almost immediately by themselves.

I don’t even know what a pigeons nostrils look like! I would guess it will breath with its mouth open if it’s clogged?

I guess if I had to try something, I’d hold it with beak pointing downward and try to drizzle some water down the outside of the beak and see if it will loosen up enough for it to sneeze it out.
