New Chicks attacked by my original flock.

Ok thanks, for all the tips. I see I'll have to invest in a bigger coop, but currently can't afford it. So I'm making due with what I have. We have a strawberry garden and it has a full cage over it to keep rabbits out. It's like 5ft by 5ft and 1ft 6in tall, I will put the chicks in it to be separated from the adults. I will wait till the wounds heal some before I put them back outside to prevent flies from infesting them. I want a walk in coop one day, that way we are all happy.

Says it houses 3-5 Rbbits, Chickens, or Ducks
I had a coop like that I used only for a isolation coop if I had a sick or injured hen. The rating on these commercial prefab coops are way off. I would never put more than 2 full size hens in that coop and 2 is pushing it, I had a sick Buff Orpington in there for a few days and that is about the limit. I believe most prefabs are rated for bantam size hens not full size. If you are really wanting to keep 5 you definitely need a new and bigger coop. If you are still looking for a prefab I just got rid of the one similar to yours and got a new larger coop for isolation for tractor supply. You might want to look at this one it may handle 5 full size hens currently on sale for $199 https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/innovation-pet-deluxe-farm-house-chicken-coop-up-to-8-chickens?cm_vc=-10005

Yes we have a tractor supply store here, I have seen it, it is a very nice coop, and I plan to get one on that scale when I can afford it. Currently without a job so things are tight. I will soon as things get better here, just doing what I can with what I got. I will invest into a nice coop like that.

But I have little hutches outside also so I don’t immediately let them eat or sleep together, they stay in the hutches for a little while then I slowly let them out to introduce them and now they are outside with my big ones

So he's dry and looking better, it is still painful to see him like that. I couldn't imagine the pain that chick must feel. The other two were bad, just not to the extent of this one.
