New duckling! Help?

She always does this as soon as I take her out of her box for the first time of the day lol I think she's just so excited to be out that she starts running around. Too bad she's still not used to her big feet because walking on tile is hard enough

Another question for you guys:

Sunni is always panting? We don’t even use her heat lamp anymore because she pants all the time. Not like 24/7 but we can’t even put her on our laps without her starting to pant. I’m not sure why... our house doesn’t get any hotter than 80 degrees and she’s still a duckling so that shouldn’t be a problem right? I’m getting worried

@shawluvsbirds Yah but she doesn't always do it either. Like when I have her in the kitchen and she runs around she doesn't pant, when I have her in my room with me she doesn't pant, but when we take her in the living room and put her on the couch or our laps she pants like that

Like her legs and beak feel hot too but she doesn't pant when she's in her box? It's just when we take her out? And we don't even use a heat lamp anymore because of it

I would say any time your holding her it would be normal for her to be hot. . the rest I'm not sure.
