No pip? Day 27 Duck Egg Incubation

Hi I have been reading through some past posts, I am just a little bit worried as my duck egg has no internally pipped (as i’m aware of) and it’s coming to the end of Day 27 nearly Day 28. Apparently my duck egg is a Cherry Valley Duck Egg. The duck appears quite small, but I might just be misjudging it. It is still moving a bit, i can see either the feet or beak moving. The air cell looks a bit weird. When can I expect the internal pip and can anyone give me some help?

you could try again with a different incubator in a few weeks or months?
hatching ducks can be stressful, poor baby

Put a few new eggs in today hopefully this time will go better! Got a proper humidity and temp reader on the way too which should help a lot

No pip yet Still has veins

I am 90% sure the duck has passed away. Veins have mostly disappeared and the inner membrane is turning greenish

Then it's probably okay. My chicks very rarely do anything before theyre supposed to hatch. @Overo Mare raises ducks though, she might have some more advice

Okay thank you, because the aircell is saddled do you know if this negatively affects the duck from hatching/pipping into the air cell?

It may make it harder for it to pip internally. It's possible it make pip away from the sac, which could make it both pips ar once if it's successful
