Not even sure this is a chicken!

Ugly lol! Actually more like a chicken and less like teacup vulture. She’s actually a pretty bird. Large fan tail and nice feathering. Pigeon friend came by and said it’s a breed used for fighting which totally wouldn’t surprise me. She’s still timid but more adventurous in her foods. I don’t think she has much experience with food beyond crumble. I’ll grab a pic today.

I think she just looks brighter and happier. Lots of new feathers coming in. Has little brown feathers on the back of her neck like my black sex linked.

Unfortunately Texas has issues with dog and cock fighting. Really pushing to be rid of these “sports”. The cocks of course aren’t rehomed but the hens end up like this girl. Either adopted out after a raid or found wandering since they weren’t of value or fear of reclaiming. I really hope my hens let her join the club.

The feral chickens in Hawaii look a lot like that gal, they're mixes including a good deal of fighting stock. They turn out really pretty, and the long legs make them look even more like the dinosaurs they are.
