Made 9 quarts of bread & butter pickles. I still have about 5 left over from last fall, I guess I need to get going eating them....I finished harvesting my garlic today. They were small but they work for in my pickles. And I got maybe a quart of beans. My girls love their fresh veggies.
Off to check the cheeps.
Froze some string beans. picked Kale for salads. Tomatoes still small & green...sigh. But, I'll have a boat load of brussel sprouts....now, just have to find out how to preserve them.
I never liked Brussel Sprouts until I read about sautéing them with bacon, brown sugar, and, forgot what else....delish! Oh, I remember, balsamic vinegar, double yum!
