Yay! The post office just called! My quail eggs (and the bantam eggs I ordered on Monday ) are ready to be picked up!!! I had ordered some bantam OEGB eggs a few months ago and then her adults stopped laying, she messaged me Monday that she had some to ship! They arrived too! So I'll have 12 Bantam Ameraucanas, 12 OEGB eggs, and 36 quail eggs!

Will anyone be hatching eggs in October?

I have a local breeder collecting some Hmong eggs for me this week, I'm collecting a few F1 Olive Egger eggs from my own flock, and then I "accidentally" won some Bresse eggs at auction and I've never incubated shipped eggs before.

So, basically I'm really in for it this time and I need some hatching buddies to chat with.

I am going to attempt to hatch my second batch in October. With bbsc, ba I have nine eggs that where shipped in. Moved my two chicks to brooder this afternoon from September hatch. Wish you luck.

On day 10. Pulled two quiters ( one of them a double yoker) so left with 9 and they look wonderful!

I candled today and 3 of the 6 are clearly developing. The other 3 were layed by a different hen and they have thicker shells so they are harder to see in. I'll candle again on day ten.
