Will anyone be hatching eggs in October?

I have a local breeder collecting some Hmong eggs for me this week, I'm collecting a few F1 Olive Egger eggs from my own flock, and then I "accidentally" won some Bresse eggs at auction and I've never incubated shipped eggs before.

So, basically I'm really in for it this time and I need some hatching buddies to chat with.

Good luck! :fl I'm trying for round 2 on shipped quail eggs, they're shipping tomorrow! I've "accidently" won an auction myself, lol. They're on Day 12 today. :lau

Oh, exciting! How are your shipped eggs doing? I bid $10 on a 6 pack and won so I'm very happy my first attempt won't be with expensive eggs.

NOPE!...Not getting suckered into it like I did this month LOL my hatch rate this month was too high so don't need any more til spring:th:popso I'll just follow and give my support;)

Congratulations on a good hatch rate! I made two attempts during the horrible hot summer and it didn't go well at all, otherwise I wouldn't need to to be trying again. I hope the pleasant fall weather will make a difference.

They're doing well, thank you! I pulled 2 of the 12 at Day 10 that were early quitters. I won't check them again until I set them for lock-down. I learned very quickly to mess with shipped eggs as little as possible. That's what has worked best for me anyway!

Well, good luck :fl I can't wait to hear how you do. Mine are traveling across the country so I don't have high expectations. When I receive them and see the air cells I'll decide whether to have some hope for them or not. Is there a hatching equivalent to a gardener's green thumb? If so, I don't think I have it.

LOL! Well I may not have either, definitely no green thumb. My husband doesn't like me even in the garden until it starts to produce....
I had some with some really funky saddle air sacs hatch the time before last. If they're questionable after you let them rest you could always put them in the incubator without turning for another day. It was so hot when these shipped I put them straight into the incubator and just didn't plug in the turner for 36 hours.
