October Hatch-A-Long?

Thank you. I weighed the eggs on days 6 and 12. They were humming along right on schedule at 6 but down a gram or so more than they should be on 12. Not catastrophic yet but shouldn't go on this way I guess. Maybe I'll weigh more often in the next few days and try to stay on top of it. I go into lockdown on Tuesday.
Any hints for placing the eggs at lockdown if I still can't see the air cell?

I can't really see into my dark colored eggs either but one was rocking last night. Today is day 16. They should be getting into position now.

Last night when shutting up coop we were missing a chicken they free range, it was cold and rainy day. We are still surrounded by corn and bean fields. They have always came come at night. No feathers, no other chicken seemed aware she was missing. No tracks of preditors. She did not come home this morning either. Also a side note one if our kittens is also missing! We've searched high and low the last 24 hours . Just sad and confused

1 beautiful baby out and one more pipped. The third is peeping in the shell and moving! I'm SO happy! this is my first successful hatch. I'll post pics later.

Day 19 for me. the temperature and humidity are steady, but I'm a nervous wreck!
Really hoping these hatch!
For those who hatch bantams, what day do they usually hatch on? Do they tend to be a bit early?

Our last batch of bantams hatched days 19-20. This current batch is hatching days 22-23. Differences have been that we ran the incubator .5 degrees lower this time around (99.0 setting because the prior hatch seemed to run a little hot), and we have different varieties hatching (last time was Ameraucana bantams, this time is SLBarnvelders and ODs). But who knows - I don't.

AT LAST. Word from my hatch manager (teen daughter) is that the first pip was 2 PM on Friday, which was the start of day 22 (!). Two Silver-laced Barnevelders and two Olandsk Dwarfs are out as of this morning (end of Day 23), with another OD zipping . One of the chicks is picking on the others, so she shifted them to the brooder in hopes the new environment, distractions of learning to eat and drink, and more space would shift that behavior. Keeping fingers crossed that there will be more action by the time I'm home tonight. Kudos to my hatch manager

I just put 13 eggs in incubator, fox got 2 hens and my rooster I don't think any of the 8 that hatched last week are rooster so hopefully Mr Marty will live on in this next batch
