Thank you. I weighed the eggs on days 6 and 12. They were humming along right on schedule at 6 but down a gram or so more than they should be on 12. Not catastrophic yet but shouldn't go on this way I guess. Maybe I'll weigh more often in the next few days and try to stay on top of it. I go into lockdown on Tuesday.
Any hints for placing the eggs at lockdown if I still can't see the air cell?
I can't really see into my dark colored eggs either but one was rocking last night. Today is day 16. They should be getting into position now.
they free range, it was cold and rainy day. We are still surrounded by corn and bean fields. They have always came come at night. No feathers, no other chicken seemed aware she was missing. No tracks of preditors. She did not come home this morning either. Also a side note one if our kittens is also missing! We've searched high and low the last 24 hours . Just sad and confused
1 beautiful baby out and one more pipped.
The third is peeping in the shell and moving! I'm SO happy! this is my first successful hatch. I'll post pics later.
