October Hatch-a-long!

I have 2 bantam silkie eggs hatching... one next weekend and one hatching about 3 days after that! does anyone know if you can put eggs in a bator for the last few days? Its getting nice and cold where I live and I am worried my little hen will have a hard time keeping them and herself warm.

I know some people switch eggs to a different bator for hatching so I don't know why not. but she may not raise them if you take them away or stop being broody? just my opinion. I have no experience with either .

2 hatched, 5 pipped, 2 zipping, 6 nothing yet. I will update with pics in the am!

. 7 in the brooder, 2 hatched still in the bator. 1 zipping 1 pipped. 4 nothing yet!

It is day 23 and I have 9 baby chicks, 2 pipped and nothing in over 24 hours and 4 that did nothing. I am leaving the remaining 6 in the bator till wednesday just in case. But for a first timer with shipped eggs I think 9 out of 15 is is pretty good!

My new babies. 9 out 15 eggs hatched. They were shipped from PA to here. They are black, blue, & splash marans.

Only one out of six are fertile I believe but I'll leave them in till day 14 when I candel again

Bantams usually hatch day 18 right?
