O man, Im sorry to hear about the incubator trouble. But o my goodness i feel ya on the whole broody thing. I love broodies and I havent had a single one this entire year! And the whole year I have been needing some broodies! lol

Ok I was not scheduled to join this hatch along....but I was gifted some silkie eggs to hatch for another friend... I usually run my Old cabinet incubator, I have added 2 stand alone turners that will hold 41 eggs each. If I were to hand turn I could use all 4 trays,each tray could Hold 80 to 100 eggs...

.. but i like the auto turners besides 82 eggs cooking at a time is plenty. During peak periods I like to set eggs once a week and hatch in my brinsea ovation ex56.

i was in a hurry so didnt get pics of the new eggs... almost seems silly to run the big incubator for 22 eggs but as my brinsea is still being used to finish up my last September hatch, I at least know it will hold the temp steady. Best of luck to everyone hatching! This should be my last hatch till I set up for the new yesrs hatch a long!

It's a circa 1934 I picked up on craigslist.... I forgot to get a pic of the label, I had to replace the fan but it runs like a champ.
I have been hatching some Necked neck crosses from my own flock but the new batch has silkie, polish, Sumatra, and a few bresse

I think some of the old stuff is built so much better. Especially wood things like furniture etc.
