I manually tern them I have the thermometer on the ground of the incubator maybe I should move it.The ice water test you did should work fairly well. Remember it’s top of egg that you are taking temps from. Some thermometers ride on top of the eggs but if you have a turner they tend to slide off.
Top of egg Fan or still air. The temps at bottom of incubator will be cooler than top of egg. So if it’s showing 99.5 at bottom it could be 100 top of egg.I manually tern them I have the thermometer on the ground of the incubator maybe I should move it.![]()

Ok. Get the mercury as close to top of egg as you can. Even if the lid is only 2 degrees off that’s still 104 which is too high.106 degrees Fahrenheit lid 99.7 on the mercury
