Week's almost done!!!

Yup same here nothing fancy. We even live in a shot gun house. No frills for these folk, but we wouldn't have it any other way

Ok, I love the Harry Potter series, and every time a new one came out for the original 7, I would start at book 1 and read all of them again. I think I've read book 1 about 10 times now. I'm casually on either 4 or 5 again, but I tend to read multiple books at a time, and can keep them all straight, surprisingly.
Sorry for the lack of coffee and breakfast, not feeling good and living on Nyquil at the moment. Carpooling kid and friend to their Thursday carpool, then picking them up later cuz their regular carpool won't be able to today. Yes, I got the flu shot, this is acting more like upper respiratory, so not as miserable as I could be, but still miserable.
Off to do the first bit of driving, then Nyquil and back to bed. See y'all later.

No, mostly amber browns I got from TSC are the worst. I'll be kneeling down doing something and they'll grab my finger like it's food. I have a couple tetra browns who will peck at my butt too, but nothing super viscious.. but they do get persistent. My BBOE cockerel (who will qualify as a fully fledged roo next month!) is a total pecker though. Pecks at my feet & will grab my jeans and pull on them. Sometimes he'll get a bit of skin and it'll hurt, but I assume he's just being a little turd b/c it's his job. He's worse w/ my daughter, but he's terrified of hands. If you try to grab him he'll back away.
How's the chick doing this morning? I'd def never buy from that breeder again, even if it is just a fluke, or it picked up a disease after you brought it home, they clearly aren't resistant enough to whatever it is.

Glad you & the bird are ok. I have a irrational fear of stairs. I fell down our porch steps when I was pregnant and carrying my older daughter. I managed to fall so I landed on the side opposite to where I was carrying her & the baby was ok. My stair issue started in middle school b/c of the death stairs that building has. I still have nightmares about them 20+ years later.
It's colder there than it is here! We had 10 this morning at 7:30.. but we're supposed to hit 30 today so YAY!! Is it possible someone moved you to North Dakota while you were asleep?

Problem with the full crested birds is they're SO dumb. Show me one that isn't and I'll eat my hat. No, no, I don't care how sweet your pet Snuggles is and how fast she runs to you, I mean if they have the common sense God gave a chipmunk in order to dash out of the way of a hawk or protect a brood of chicks.
I had Sultans for a while. So stooopid. Even giving them crest buzz cuts only helped a little. Their offspring (half Sultan) are definitely retarded; even if I didn't know their ancestry I could tell you there was a crested bird somewhere back there.
I really did love the Sultan looks but decided it was too much breeding work to get stock that was smarter than a paperclip and wasn't so prone to illness. They're quite inbred in general due to a small gene pool.
That's good. Me, they don't even feel like chickens unless they have at least the intelligence of a moderately stupid stapler.
