And truly believing people’s lives will be better if you were just gone. My husband, my BFF cannot wrap their mind around that. That someone could feel that way and actually believe it. But when you are so far down, the last thing you want to do is share that with anyone.
People who don't understand depression think you are just being dramatic or stupid. You are walking a tightrope and could fall off at any time.

Apryl, what!?! Disney has their own island?? That sounds like a blast!
The lines thing is a bummer. But heck YEAH!!!! Trip of a lifetime! Cruise to a private island! Great food! I bet the weather was awesome too!

Banty, You are wishing for quiet time?
I am not sure about the forever part but a week would be divine!

My parents took us to FL every year from NY, mostly by train. My uncle lived in Holly Hills, not too far from Daytona beach. Spring vacation in a motel. I loved it.
When i was in HS i was pleased to take a trip to Europe. Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, France and England. Wish i could go back.
I have been to the Virgin Islands with parents also with my husband. Vegas and Grand Canyon. We also vacationed in TN and NS.

I don't have any one favorite vacation. Growing up, we were the ones that did 2 and 3 week vacations every year, so I've been to a lot of places. Add Germany and Hawaii for the Army, and then living on the west coast, and I'm pretty content. Of the 50 states, I've been to about 30 or so, plus 3 Canadian provinces. I wouldn't mind visiting the states I haven't been to, but I won't be disappointed if I never get to.

Highlights of vacations, watching grizzly bears, stopping at an empty clearing in a national park, pointing at nothing, then driving off and returning a little later and seeing a ton of cars fill of people looking at what you were pointing at, checking out Yellowstone, Banff, Jasper, Yoho, Grand Teton, the corn palace, rock hunting, Wall Drug, Mt. Rushmore, gold panning, ghost towns, walking on the gulf coast, Mammoth cave, Gettysburg, and dozens of other things that I can't quite remember or describe off the top of my head.
