I always wanted to clog. It was huge in our town.
The snake was cra-cra!
Proud of you Ruby!
We have a adult beginner clogging class starting TONIGHT 8 - 8:30... start driving, you might make it here in time! (you probably won't.)
Did you know that if you are selling eggs and or birds of any age you should be reporting them on your tax return?
Yeah but i spend more than i get out of it so
Yes but only for so long. They actually have the nerve to expect you to make money. And keeping all those receipts and everything is a PIA.
I wonder if this is the 'hobby' thing they have on your taxes. I wonder if I can deduct the $180 vet bill against the $12 I made on eggs last year. Ooo maybe I'll get a refund! Good think I gave Steve away for free.
Well I'm too young to pay taxes, so I can sell birds just fine.
I'm actually trying to find a business partner to buy a bunch of rare birds, raise them until they're individually sellable(2 mos), and then sell them. Just an idea the would be really cool and was suggested by my mom.
This is going to be my no-so-old lady retirement project. In theory I should be able to retire at 57 w/ a full pension so I'll need something to entertain myself for the next 15-20 years or so.
Good afternoon everyone!
I've been a bit busy today. I had a chiropractor appointment this morning and I've been working on food prep most of the afternoon. The Milk Drinker has been SOOOOO cranky. I really hope this is a growth spurt rather than the terrible twos come early.
I used to have loaches. I LOVE loaches they are so funny! I wanted some kuhli loaches for the longest time but the one time I did find them, the aquarium place had given them salt shock and they all died (kuhli loaches are really sensitive about going from a higher salt environment to a lower salt environment). When you reintroduce your loaches, I would slowly mix in water from your main tank over several days to get the used to lower salt levers. I did find a couple of Java Loaches (black kuhlis) that did live for a long time
I mainly had Yoyo and Hillstream Loaches, but it was my one Zebra loach that started it all. He was so funny I just had to get more but I was never able to find more zebra loaches so I switched to Yoyos. I ended up getting rid of them because I didn't have as much time for them as I used to. The last straw was that my heater broke and overheated my tank, killing all my Angel loaches (which have a lower heat tolerance). When I got rid of the loaches some of my yoyos were 6 inch long monsters.
Here are some pics. Sorry for the poor quality. I shot these pics with my original blackberry phone, gosh...8-9 years ago.

LOL The best thing about knowing the pics are older is also knowing that the resolution was considered great at that time.
Is this the type I should look into? There's folk down the road that sell roos but they look like fighters and the conditions aren't good
If you're looking for meat birds, get cornish crosses and it doesn't matter much if it's boys or girls b/c you're going to process them before they mature much anyway. If you're looking for eggs, don't get a boy if you can avoid it. It's soooo much easier to just have girls to deal with, then you can worry about finding a single boy for your ladies later. People give them away all the time. That way you can be picky, and you need to treat boys differently if you want them to respect you.
ETA: You only need a boy if you want to breed. Hens do not need a boy around to lay eggs.
Can you post a link?
I think TSC...
Get well smuvs...
Ruby, great job on the test.
Morning all
Unfortunately not. It's the choreography that we're not allowed to share online, which I understand, but it sucks not being able to share it.

I'm sorry, I don't believe you're at work, your desk is too clean and organized.
The Milk Drinker hasn’t quite figured out that he needs to cover his eyes when playing peekaboo.

LOL When my girls were little we'd play hide and seek and the big one would get so excited when it was her turn to hid that she'd giggle and as soon as I'd come into the room she'd jump out and yell 'Here I am!". I'd always hide in the same spot every single time and it took them a while to figure out to look for me there first.
Howdy PBM!!
I am going to the doc in one hour. Then I have to hit the grocery store.
Last day for a couple sale items I want to get.
I have the important stuff on the list.
Chocolate milk, doritos, chicken feed, steak and brats.
Anyone need anything?
I have a couple brats if you want... They're both home today. Sigh.
