Official Squatch Watchers

My 2 hr nap was the only sleep I had since Sat when I woke up from a nap at 8 pm. Took the two small dogs to training, along with DDs # 2 & 4, then got food for DD #3, dropped it off at the house, stopped at 2 banks so we could get money to pay my mom for car, insurance and DD #1's dental work, then dogs, 2 DDs and I went to my moms so I could work on a cosplay for DD #2. After that we went to dairy queen, got food, ate, went back through the drive thru to get food for DD#1 and DH, came home, took care of fish, taking dogs out, feeding frogs, getting parakeets out for flight time and kitchen chicken time, and still have a few mins before putting chickens to bed, taking care of food and water for parakeets, and topping off food and oyster shell for chickens before covering their pens with their blankets and turning out the lights. Kitchen chicken time is basically my quiet time, the dogs are settled in for the night, DH and 3 of the DDs are in bed, nobody is asking anything from me except 2 fluffer butters, and they will just come up and perch on the chair with me and just want some pets and to watch what I'm doing and chill with me. The rest of the day I have kids and dogs wanting stuff from me on a regular basis, which is why I consider having a job more of a vacation with benefits than a chore. And that is why I'm up late at night, simply for peace and quiet that doesn't exist the rest of the day.
You just described motherhood @Anansi ,
All of it.

Yeah no kidding!
It is freakishly windy here. Very rarely do I get wind like this.

I am afraid I will find damage to the hoop run when I go out this morning. It is covered in 6mil plastic and the sides are raised 2'. Really good space for the wind to grab.

I decided to skip the 400 messages. Did I miss anything?

Same here @Suzi18, I didn't think it was that bad until I brushed all the snow away and found the ice underneath. It could be worse though, no black ice today! It was 9 deg at my kid's school this am, which is below the 14 the weather site promised. Bunch of liars. Sigh.. The chickens seem to be doing well with it though. Odin's comb and waddles don't look too bad. It's nice when we actually hit above freezing once in a while.
@FlyingNunFarm How are the combs on your boys?

Last Sunday (not yesterday) I painted my nails light green. ALLLL week long when I went to scoop poop 1/2 my chickens kept trying to eat my fingers. Last night I took it off, then this morning I went into the coop and one of the main finger biters comes up trying to get a nip in. I held up my hand to her and she was about to take a bite then stopped and looked at my hand.. no delicious green fingers. Then everyone left me alone to scoop poop. Little raptors.

Annnnddd it looks like if my child qualifies for national's we're going to Atlantic City. Looking at the map I have to drive over a bunch of bridges w/ water.. I had to stop looking into the whole trip b/c it was giving me anxiety. THEN another dance mom told me there's a 3 mile long bridge over water. Thankfully she's a friend or I might have slapped her. The other option was Cincinnati which I preferred b/c it's much closer and no scary water bridges, but everyone else wanted to go to the beach. Did I mention it's $700 for the hotel for the 4 nights? That's more than my rent for the entire month. It's insane.. I'm kinda hoping that they don't qualify, but that's very unlikely.

Happy Monday All!!!

MISTY, CALL THE DOCTOR ABOUT MR!!!!! NOW NOW NOW!!!

We care, yanno? :hugs

@apryl29 holy jeepers batman, I thought *I* was the only anxious bridge over water driver! What's so funny, I only have the anxiety about driving over bridged waters and cruise ships (never been on a cruise ship). I can go swimming, sailing, scuba diving, etc... but those 2 things make me all whacked out!!!

Harness with changeable diaper pouch system. (I posted this to another thread for a person with house seramas, but thought y'all might find it interesting/useful.)

The "v" cut in the one part is to allow for the tail, and the diaper has a liner sewn in it, but you can also purchase liners for flight suits/diapers that you can adapt to work.

The one on the stool is Lizbeth's, which is the second one I made. Gurtrude is modeling her's, which is the original model. Lizbeth's is the improved version.

You need to go back and edit that post so you can tag PBM in it. I betcha she'd LOVE something like that for her chickies!!

Yeah no kidding!

Try metal grommets and bungee cords. I swear, we have had wind whipping the TAR outta our one hoop coop and the tarp on top doesn't budge an inch.
