Well, mystery solved. Apparently their house is totally inadequate. They've spent the day making a nest in the run, to include pulling most of the straw out of their house.

Ok, here they are in the nest and then the empty nest. Oh, and they're loaded with personality. DW put the salmon in their treat bowl, and took too long walking away and they both yelled at her from the far side of the run.

@Parront ,I have a random question that only a parrot person can answer. I've heard that when a parrot's pupils expand and contract that means the bird is pleased. Is there any truth here or is it malarkey?

I have seen that in macaws. Never noticed it as much with cockatoos.
