Official Squatch Watchers

OMG. Don’t get me started on office supplies. A few years back, the company I work for made MAJOR renovations to the building to get rid of offices and turn it into a cube farm. :rant Well, they cleared everything down to the studs. So the offices were emptied before we all moved to another place in the building. During the move, a coworker and I decided to “go shopping” in the trash. They had HUNDREDS of three ring binders, boxes of file folders, reems of paper, old metal hole punches, paper cutters (good heavy ones), staplers, in the trash. I salvaged a 5 gallon recycling bin FULL of binder clips, a hole punch, metal file sorter, pens, pencils, stationary, post-it notes, etc for my use at work. I didn’t feel right taking it home. I know plenty of people who did take the trashed supplies home though. When I left for maternity leave I still had 9/10th of the bin of binder clips. I moved them and other things into the printer room for other people to make use of.

Depending on my mood I decide what to do with it. Friday a lady left her office and filled a garbage can with paper. The 55 gal take out to road size garbage can. It was so heavy I had to get a cart to move it. So as I was hand picking paper out to put in the recycle I pulled binder clips and stuck em in my pocket. She made it such a pain for me to remove so I helped myself to trash. If it had been a normal office trash can of crap to go through I would have taken it to the copy room and pulled binder clips/paper clips and left them. I’ve gotten some really nice pens too. Company got them as a promotion to order pens with their logo. I don’t know why they don’t just use them but I’ve been using them for over a year so....

Red you work?
I thought for sure you stayed at home with MD.
I’m a wahm (work at home mom). I have the software engineer job I did before I got pregnant but now I work from home out in the boonies of WV 4 days a week. I’ve learned to work with one hand while using the other to hold the nursing Milk Drinker (hurray for multitasking!). I have to make the trek into the DC metro area 3-4 times a year to interface with my co-workers. It is wonderful to make DC area wages and live in the boonies. DH doesn’t work anymore because of his health and I make >4x what he can make per hour. It is more beneficial for us if he stays home to help out and I work a few more hours.

Very interesting stuff about the treats... I may need to reconsider how much we are feeding our flock. BTW, the amount of layer feed a chicken should consume in a day is around .3 cups, aka a third cup. Ducks are .35. I learned about it when trying(and failing) to convince my parents to get ducks.

4.5 oz per day for optimum conversion on a grass based system is the number the pro's use.

Morning all:frow I fell asleep last night trying to catch up, only skipped 144 posts today.

Well, I’m heading to bed. The Milk Drinker went to sleep over 2 hours ago. I wanted to go to sleep too, but I got sucked into watching pimple popping videos.

OK ...... Um...... Yeah...... You need more sleep!

What the tater?? You watched 2 hours of :sick videos???

I catch the stink bugs in empty water bottles. Good riddance. If downstairs i toss in the fire.
Good night.
That was while I showered. The light being on and water running stirs them up for some reason.

@Redhead Rae are you a Dr Sandra Lee fan? Or team Dr John Gilmore?
