It's not torture, honest. If they are real bad he knocks them out to remove the maggots. If they were to just give them a parasitic the maggots would die in the skin then the dog would be full of abscesses. It's sad because the owners could give their dog a preventative and don't bother. The guy that runs the clinic helps a lot of dogs and people. They even do a trap/neuter/return program to help keep the dog population down.

@Smuvers Farm You'll want to air out the house a bit too once it's done running. The longer it runs the better. So I know you want to do it ASAP but plan for it and do something on a nice day when you can be gone for longer. Then you only have to do it once and be done. You can even run it in the chicken coops. Kick them out for the day and set the timer. Kill any buggies or nasties in there too.

Hey y'all, sorry about the lack of breakfast and coffee the last few days. I've been busy working on getting Lizbeth out of being broody, so I've had to actively keep her from nesting, it's interesting, just not in a good way.

Plan for tomorrow, give Ms. Broody a bath/soak in lukewarm water, let het sit while it gets cooler in the tub, dry fluff butt with hair dryer on cool, put a diaper on her and make her be a chicken ambassador for a day. Then I can get Gurtrude in the tub and give her a good scrub, cuz boy, does she need it. Today I'm taking away Lizbeth's hay, that way some of her comfort is gone and she won't be able to make a nest. Hopefully she'll get over the broodiness, is already been 3 or 4 days, and she has nothing to hatch. She was trying to hatch a fig newton a couple days ago.

I had a great aunt Lizbeth, she was nuttier than squirrel poop. I can't believe you won't let the girl hatch a fig newton, party pooper.

@FlyingNunFarm , so I wanna use that zapper thingie ASAP. I am curious, if it's possible to put it into a room and close the room off to get zoned, can't I put me and the animals in a room to use it in the rest of the house?

Ok, so I get these weird styes that I have to get cut out of my eye. I've had to have several done. I had one that got kind of big, about the size of cherry pit, but usually they are about the size of a pea. My eye surgeon said lots of people wait until they get as big as a marble (or larger) to get them removed. My niece gets them too and she had one that was HUGE and no one would do anything about it (bc she was a kid), it was seriously affecting her vision too. They finally found someone who took care of it for her. Sometimes I can get them to drain on their own. I had a really bad one a few years ago and had to get antibiotics & drops for it. IDK how people can just let them fester.
