Official Squatch Watchers

Amazon is getting on my nerves! I ordered some bearings for the lawnmower and today I get this sorry we missed you email...um what? It says they tried to deliver LIES I've been here all day! And i should take my delivery card to get my package or reschedule on usps.com. I don't have a flipping delivery card! My mail lady will bring packages to my door, somebody is full of taters!:rant

It didn't look dark enough to be a balut egg. They are almost fully formed little duckies. :sick
Looked more like just started to me. Not sure they would incubate.
And I probably would not eat it either.

Thanks for the post. I was having a melt down moment when I asked for a person to talk to. I was calmer even by the time I called Cappy. (She might think I'm super crazy as I cried and did the "not right in the head" laugh)

It was fine, wish i could have given you a hug though!

The only reason I giggled was because the name on the cooler says "Timewise." Sorry, thought it was comical, considering what it's being used for.
I had to make a quick decision..to use the cheap styrofoam thing I had or a real ice chest...I chose to cut that one because I won't get in trouble ruining a cheap thing for no reason.
See I am a little smart.

I can tell you this though...if I see movement in the next day or two I will be going to buy a real incubator!

Aint no way in the world I am going to stress over trying to get and keep a correct temperature.

AND...we did just decided yesterday to start keeping quail so I will need an incubator soon anyways.

I still can't believe I bought them and I can't believe I am even trying this.

Ugh, sometimes my MIL annoys me.

Just FYI, my in-laws live with us, my parents live next door. I know, most people thing we are crazy but it works, most of the time.

Anyway, almost every night, I take the Milk Drinker up to see my parents. Sometimes I stay, sometimes I come back home because I have to work. Well, tonight is one of the nights I have to work. So, I took him up after dinner and came back, but I accidentally took my spot light with me and left it.

Usually when I take my son up, I turn on the house area light so I can see a around the house a little bit better. I like having my spotlight too so I can check for predators and see farther. My MIL thinks the spot light is good enough, so why should I use that power sucking monster of a light.....I'm going to kill the bulb.....yadda, yadda, yadda.

Well since I left the spot light at my parents', wanted to turn on the house light so I could see on my way up. I look and the bulb is dead.....

I come in and say the bulb is dead, and my MIL, says "Well, I'm not surprised."

:barnie

Seriously, what good is a light if you don't use it!

I had a package delivered to a neighbor once. Had to fight and fight saying whoever delivered did not leave it on my porch. Finally got them to send a replacement only to have my neighbor come over a week later and deliver the original package.
It was fine, wish i could have given you a hug though!
It was nice to be able to talk about the experience, as awful as it was, and not feel like I was possibly scaring you for life.
I knew I was doing the right thing I just wish there was a more peaceful was for me to do it myself.
I'l be researching.

I personally think that a killing cone and bleeding the bird out is more peaceful. You just have to make sure they are bleeding and then wait for it to end. You don't have to yank on the bird or get them in an awkward position. The cone calms them for you.

I am a mother and an old nurse. Not much you could say would freak me out.
