So, the Milk Drinker woke me up about 1.5 hours ago to be fed and didn’t want to stop nursing. 1 hour ago I put a stop to it because he was making my skin crawl and I was able to pat him back to sleep. I couldn’t go back to sleep right away so I started playing with my phone. Right around the time I started getting sleepy, I noticed I was ravenously hungry. Thank goodness for gluten free cornflakes at 3:45 in the morning.

Lost a hen during the night.
Bummed since it was one of my one year old red Cochin gals.

Good weight, no injuries, good feathering, no symptoms prior to passing, no mites/lice, good feed and clean water, full crop.
She was on the small size for the breed as is my other red one. Now I am on the super vigilant watch with the others.

No I do not wish to necropsy. If I lose another I will.

It is rare for me to lose any.

I am so sorry @21hens-incharge ! It’s hard when that happens.

It's all good. I am trying to be scientific. I do have a degree in Biology. And have done some experiments... maybe it will convince some folks. I don't expect to convert everyone.
