Official Squatch Watchers

Checking in gang! Sorry so late; it's been super hell here lately.

Buddy (Wiggles) had well over 2 dozen seizures throughout the weekend. Had to play the waiting game with his blood test results. Although his meds are *well within normal range*, The DR put him on the addition of Bromide, which I'd read about several months ago, and which PBM reminded me of yesterday. IF this doesn't straighten his seizures out.. LUCKILY there are many other options available. Thank you @staceyj for your recommendation of gabapentin. I will DEFINITELY keep that idea in my head in case the mixture of the phenobarb, bromide and his *homeopathy* treatment doesn't work.

Buddy with his *buddy*, Thunder Monkey. How could you NOT wanna help that cute little Wiggles?!?

In the midst of all this, I am STILL trying to get our web page up and running... we're currently collecting in the neighbourhood of 20 eggs per day.. and 2-5 of them are small..... not quite sure what to do with them yet... think I should sell them as a separate dozen for a smaller amount?! Or find some hipster way of specializing them and selling them for $8 a dozen?!?!? :lau

In addition to all that, the PIC came across something online he wanted to try, called geocaching. We did that today and it was simply the COOLEST outdoor activity we've found in a long time.

I really miss you all so extremely much! I need an extra hour every day to make it out here.... I am getting BYC withdrawals!!!
Miss you too! I scored an incubator with a turner for $20 and sold all the baby guineas for $65 and the guy wants more!

That's AWESOME Cappy! Why does he want the keets for?
He wants another blood line to breed to his. I was thinking maybe we can swap some once his start laying. I think mine might be the only ones laying early.

@Smuvers Farm You could always sell them at full price, as add-ons to regular dozens, in half dozens or full dozens and tell people they are good for recipes that would require a half egg. Example, if a recipe calls for 3 eggs, but they only want to make half of it, one regular egg and one small egg would be perfect. It's great for people who are single and do small batches of things. I give my mom 6 large eggs and 6 banty eggs and call it the equivalent of 9 eggs, and it's because she is single and doesn't need whole large eggs for everything.

You could also sell them for a little more than the eggs at the grocery store because you can't find small eggs in very many places.

Morning peeps! I'm actually ready early today, for the first time in-well, a long time! lol.
Oh no! How old were they?

Is everybody getting or already got Spring Chicks?
Yup! Getting and already got! We got 8 chicks mail-order on the 15th of February, and those are almost fully integrated. We got two dark Brahma chicks two weeks ago when we were in Tennessee, and took them with us on the 14 hour car ride back. And we just ordered some button quail eggs, which I am trying to genetically engineer.

Speaking of that experiment-
How much temperature fluctuation is ok? The new bator is fairly steady, but fluctuates around 1.5 degrees. I set it at 100*, but gets up to 100.5 and down to 99.
