Ya'll this group of mixed chickens gets along better than any iv'e hatched together. It is so freaky, i'm not complaining but it is freeeeakky! They love each other, no fights they preen each other...the bros and sisters tried to eat each other's eyeballs.

Just busy cleaning.

Delilah (the malamute) had her spay surgery today. I didn't want any chores later this week that would take me away from her even for a minute.

She is groggy and miserable but will be fine. It's been 25 years since I have had a female fixed. It will be a challenge keeping her calm this week.

@staceyj I am really sorry your FIL is not doing well.

I find the animals get over surgery much faster than people do. But my poor Siamese female still can barely meow since her surgery. Idk what they did to her.

stacey first thought I had about that light was to mount it on my chicken tractors, someone was jumping up and down on one this morning, too dark and too much fog to see who, but betting on a coon

Poor thing, maybe the tube damaged her vocal cords.

I was at costco yesterday morning. I wish I had seen that light there. I want/need light on the east side of hubby's shed. Since I pick up the poo every time someone makes one winter is kind of hard with a flashlight at 5am.

Lots to tend before Delilah takes over my day. I know she will be ok. That cone is awful for her though.

I know there are some families somewhere that aren’t dysfunctional, that are all rainbows and icecream sprinkles...

How is Delilah this morning?

I wonder how Cooper’s neutering will go (eventually-it’s still a long way off).
The vet said they’ll go in like a spay. He has one testicle in the scrotum. The other is missing in action.
She said it’s in there somewhere. We’ll find it.

It was foggy here too this morning!
Maybe we should get a pallet of lights and hand them out!
With all the coops, runs, and outbuildings Cappy has put up this spring/summer she could probably use a dozen or so!

I still think @CapricornFarm would be an awesome “subject” for a reality tv show.

Can’t you picture her with a film crew following her around in the forest?
We could all come help and have cameo appearances!
