Lafayette update: :D

He was *strutting* today. Like a rooster. His stance is so, so much better (not quite a V shape yet, but definitely a U!)

He hardly fell over at all while walking today; he actually ran a little!

His comb continues to get more straight.

He is eating well on his own and his crop is nice and full often, which it wasn't before. I finally stopped hand-feeding him today.

His weight today was almost 3# (2.8). Up from 2.2 when I could feel his razor-sharp keel and every rib (probably he was about 5 pounds before he got sick).

He is pecking the others away from his mealworms and actually *was jumping* a bit for his mealworms!

He is navigating stairs better! Doing the concrete ones from my deck with no problem, and not falling once he gets to the bottom. I am still picking him up at night to put him in the coop, but last night I put him two steps on the ladder from the top and gave his butt a little push and he walked those two steps up into it.

I am very, very happy, and believe he is going to make a full recovery. Yay!:wee
Girl you know a BBC does NOT go down. :p

Oh hell I eat the eggs! I worm with Valbazene and found out its main ingredient is given to people when they have worms.
I once did the math and if the entire dose I gave a hen went into a single egg, I'd have to eat a dozen eggs at once to even get my dose.
I eat them too, I could probably use a deworming anyway by now.:caf

PBM, I'm so happy that Lafayette is doing so much better. You are very dedicated to his wellbeing, and yes, he definitely sees you as a preferred companion, i.e., yes he loves you.

Cappy, those quail are brutal, aren't they. Hopefully you can have them on their way to someone else soon. Maybe you could sell off the biggest taterhead as well.

Nah, i am used to having him around. He is not usually such a jerk. He told me today, i need to do something with all these eggs. Um, yeah you think? I know this , i have just been really busy. Then he told me not to step in the grass, i was going to get my shoes muddy and track into the house while carrying the freezer. No kidding.

I think diets are long overdue.:caf

When you think about it, I wonder just how many people are walking around with parasites and have no idea.

Eat up!

Who’s here right now.
I answered a thread and the person was describing something all my chicks have done but then she elaborated some more and I want some input from you guys. Because whenever anyone says “excessively sleepy” or “falling over” :idunnoit could be so many things that could be terrible.

Because you’re the squatchers and are all super smart.
Also nice.
