Aww, I don't know why you don't love spikey old sweet gum balls! They are a real hoot to step on barefoot. Don't know why anyone would plant some on purpose. The limbs are good to witch water with though.:)
I curse! :barnie:barnie:barnie
I spit-spit-SPIT- PA-TOOHEY
:he:he:he:he:he
on whomever planted all those dang “gum ball” trees in my back two neighbor’s yards.

As you know my Welsummers have very tender feet and are terribly prone to bumblefoot, and I’ve struggled with it all summer.
This morning I’ve been clearing their free range enclosure from hurricane debris.
So far I’ve gathered a wheelbarrow full of pine cones, and THREE five gallon buckets of #+%+%*}^{ :ducGUM BALLS! :tongue

Yeah, that's the old septic tank that was supposed to be emptied then crushed and buried. It sunk...they brought dirt...in sunk again.
Smells lovely.

It’s not MY feet I care about as much as my chickies.
Rosie and Ashley both have bumblefoot again already!

that are pretty in the fall. But other than that I hate them.

So was the house still on a tank or hooked to city sewer?
Why on earth wouldn't they have finished that part???

What a mess to have to deal with!
