Morning RJ. :frow

I'm sitting in the hospital waiting to get a chest x'ray. Already had my blood drawn and an EKG done. Just surgical pre tests for upcoming Carpal Tunnel surgery. Left wrist on the 10th and then right wrist on the 24th. Cant wait.....tired of my hands aching and fingers going numb.
I have never heard anyone that was sorry they had it done. Both of mine turned out great! Good luck.

I can't get to the feckers to do anything. It is like he built a "house" left maybe two feet of space behind it where the ratty trees are, one is pretty much touching his house. Then there is my privacy fence. So they are in a house/fence sandwich. They aren't small either, they are easy 15ft tall and straight "leaning but no limbs".

We had a similar issue with trees against my fence and neighbors detached garage........

Drilling a 1/2" hole in the tree and filling said hole with 2-4D did them in.

It also killed every tree sharing that root system........ These were choke cherries and they send shoots from the root system.

Thanks for all the info Apryl!!! I figured your poor kid went through just about every diagnostic test known to man having to do with the gut, so you would know...I think I remember you saying she had an NG tube after the surgery, which is pretty standard. But that is the one thing I could not do as a nurse, because of my puke phobia, every time I tried to do one I would about pass out (I didn't do hospital nursing that much, so it never was a huge issue).

I almost passed out too trying to assist with an endoscopy once, because the lady was gagging all around the tube. I had to quietly excuse myself from the room, sit in the hallway, and put my head down until my vision came back! Embarassing as all taters...

An NG tube is pretty much the same principle as that nasoesophageal scope...through the nose into the back of the throat and into the esophagus and/or stomach.

I've been reading up on it and I'm hoping he doesn't opt to do it because one of my nasal passages is almost completely collapsed and it seems if you have obstructed breathing they don't do it. I think I'm just gonna tell him I can't do it due to bad anxiety and if they really need to scope me I will have to come back and do it under sedation/twilight anesthesia!!

Nurses are the worst patients, lol!!
Nurses are just worse b/c they know what's going on and how it should be done.
They did the NG tube during the 2nd surgery while she was out b/c she had to have her stomach drained before they could operate. She didn't have one for the first surgery b/c she'd been starved for 12+ hours before. She was standing in the middle of the hallway after her 745th xray of the week when they decided that everything looked good and just pulled it out. It reminded me of the magic trick where they just keep pulling scarves out of their pocket. It makes sense that they'd just do it quickly rather than slowly, but it was still Oh, Ok. That happened.
When they put the probe in for the reflux study I gagged along with her. IDK how those ladies could do it. They didn't even flinch. I probably would have to leave too. IDK how some people do jobs were it's super gross, like cops and firemen and coroners.
I hope they plan on putting you out some way to do it. It seems like torture not to.

"Wow, what a voluptuous comb! Does it cause him problems?"

Hahahahaha! I am still lol'ing over this. Something only a crazy chicken person would say, and only other crazy chicken people would b nodding their head going "Yeah man, it really is." :lau
Right? After Odin's comb and wattle flaps I feel seriously sorry when I see a bird w/ huge.. parts. I could tell he desperately wanted to peck at the ground, but he couldn't b/c his wattles got in the way. I'm glad my other boys have much more manageable parts.

Totally OT (would you expect anything less?!)

Yesterday morning, my husband woke me up, and was like, "Do you remember anything you dreamt about last night?" I said no, why.

He said I was yelling about zombies and thrashing around (yeah, was watching Fear the Walking Dead before going to bed) and then I kicked him in the n*ts. :lau

He said next time I watch that, he will wear a cup to bed. Hahahahahahaha!!!!!
What a cry baby. :hit :lau

Day 18 of the BBC!!! Tomorrow is lockdown, babies!! :wee

It ain't much, but its something, lol.

Gotta go celebrate my 93 year old MIL's BD with the old ladies--AKA the Interminable Spaghetti Dinner. Wish me luck, they're usually pretty, um, interminable. Thank the gods for cheap wine!

Later, taters. XO

ETA: No, I did not say anything dirty, so this is safe for all. Getcher minds outta the gutter, y'all! ;) :lau

PPS: Where is little Ruby, speaking of NSFR?! BAck in school and fighting dragons, I suppose...
Wooo! That egg looks full of baby! Can you hear any peeping yet? I was sad that I never got to experience that, but since the egg was shoved under a chicken's butt the whole time I wasn't surprised that I didn't hear anything.

I just love her! She looks into your soul with those eyes. Sweetest little thing too.
That chicken reminds me of my gma b/c of that little puff of feathers... My gma did the old lady hair puffs.

I'd look into property laws and taxes. If used the land for so long and you don't dispute it--it becomes his land. But you're paying the taxes. I have to tell my neighbor he needs to move his wood pile. It's at least 5 feet past the line.
Um... good luck w/ that. Maybe have a survey crew come out, if you haven't had one out already... then you can send the neighbor a map and ask them if they could move it away from the line.

Good luck w/ your surgery. Everyone I know who's had it done has doing great afterward.

Good morning! Guess who locked a rabbit in the coop last night? He's fine, I think he had a good time eating hay because thats what was going on when I opened up. :)
I can't get to them to do anything. I don't get why he didn't cut them before he built, but there is alot there I don't get.:lau
Or why he didn't build his house so it's not on your property... You'd think the builders (assuming real construction people build it) would have made sure it was on his property. I wonder if he's hoping the trees will fall on it and he'll get some $$. If his house is 2' on your property, then the trees are too, right? If they fall on his place then your house ins would be responsible for the damage.
If they are his trees, maybe zoning could help. I know my mom planted this "willow bush" between the neighbor's fence and our garage. The "bush" turned into a giant tree and one of the huge branches was sitting on the garage and the zoning guy came and told us it needed to be cut off b/c it can't be touching a building.

@april29 As part of the buying process we paid $150 for a survey.
They literally went online to the auditors website and printed the map.
I could have done that for free!
To get any kind of stakes or markers it's $1500.
Finding the lines and getting the wood pile moved is on the list. Unfortunately the list is more like a "to-do notebook."

Wow. That's insane. Did the survey people walk the line with you and tell you their stuff is on your property? If so, then I'd just write up a nice letter and mail it to them & ask super nicely to move it. Hopefully your neighbors aren't jerk faces about it.
That reminds me of a story.. picture for clarity:

So the red was my parent's house, and the blue was the house behind theirs. Now every time the blue house was sold the new owners would come in and start mowing, cutting, picking fruit from the green circled space between our houses thinking that was their land b/c the realtor would vaguely point in that direction and say Yeah, that's your's... Well that land actually belongs to the house on the corner (follow the green arrow). So every time someone new moved in and started hacking away at their property the owners (a relatively old couple) would have to run out and tell the people to shove off, to which they'd declare that the realtor told them it's theirs. Then out come the property maps and the new owners realized they were lied to.

@apryl29 ,Builders had no part in his house. His steps are made from pallets and it isnt on a foundation.
Nice. So basically he's living in a giant chicken coop?
