I had a busy day. It was cold and rainy so no working on the coop. So I loaded up a truck and went to the dump. Finally got all the gross old carpet out of the garage.
Then since I had the use of a truck I asked about going to the restore to look for a door. Didn't find one but got a housewarming gift.

The friend who pissed me off with chicken comments.... yeah he found this and picked it up right under my nose.
We then went to the co-op. Like a giant thrift store where you can rent a booth a sell your stuff. Old or new--

I couldn't resist! And I found a door. So not a bad day.

Pulled in Roux for a check-up but forgot to look in his mouth for wet pox! :barnie Tomorrow. Thanks for the reminder Stacey.

The scab scrapings I got were just scab. No bloody smears. I did not see any critters near his vent (it is so tiny! heehee) or under his wings. He does have some irritation on his legs. Here are some more photos.

He was a very good boy though. And he liked when I rubbed some neosporin on his comb :D

I zoomed. Hmmmmm.
I don’t see evidence of one single new pustule anywhere. Do you?
If the weather’s good tomorrow, get a bucket of warm, slightly soapy water and a handful of washcloths and give everybody a little scrub up.
Then watch them for a few days.
My girls get little boo-boos on their combs from who knows where. The occasional jab, ducking under a bush, scraping against the hardware cloth in the run...

What I mean is with pox, sort of like chicken pox in kids, first there’s one then another then another until eventually theres a whole bunch.
So the lesions which become pustules arrive and develop in sequence both coming and going. Everything in those pictures look stable.

Wet pox usually has many miserable looking eruptions around the mouth and eyes as well as inside the mouth with the yellow plaque patches.
