I still need to add the final border of white at the top. This is it so far though.

Do NOT check out Pinterest for quilting ideas! We may never see you again. LOL

Lol.... I think I have enough fabric to make a dozen king size quilt tops!

The dogs don't give me much time to do it though. The little taters wait for me to go in another room then BAM it's wrestling time!

I had a good reminder not to let the birds out unattended.
At lunchtime I took the dogs out. Right away Jack hit the fence in full protection mode! There was a redtailed hawk having chicken for lunch right there in the alley! (It's more like a culvert since it's deep and used for flood diversion)
Freaked me out for a second. It does explain why my birds are silent today.
Bummer for whoever lost the bird.

Awww & I LOVE your avatar! Hope all is well w/ you.

I want to say I hate you, but I don't.. I'm just really really jealous.
We're low 40's here today. And tomorrow they're forecasting rain, but the tv is showing snow! :barnie I'm guessing Nunny is MIA b/c she's trying to get stuff done before it gets here. She always gets hit harder than we do here.

Soooooo I got the rat out of the hole. I was wrong, I'd had it by the back leg, not the head. The thing is HUGE! Of course I took a picture.. Anyone want to see?
ETA: it's on a garden rake for scale.
(I'm hoping I got the spoiler thing to work correctly)

It's at least 8" long. I packed the hole in and I figure if there is another one it'll dig out the hole. I also caught another field mouse.
Holy cow that's a big rat
