Official Squatch Watchers

What about wodden/plastic owls? Also, hanging CDs from the trees so they flash in the sun?
I haven't had a chance to get to the store to get any owls yet. Also what are cd's are those some old timers things

. I am going to the feed store tomorrow and possibly to Walmart if I'm feeling brave to get me some fake dogs and owls

Wow! That's good thinking!
But a scary situation.
Do they have anyplace they can run under and hide?
I have a lot of hawks here too but also lots of hiding spots.
And lots of crows and Ravens who seem to HATE the hawks.
Why do the hawks seem to go away when the ravens chase them? Are they afraid?
Because the ravens and crows can fly faster and gang up on the hawk imagine five six year old kids kicking your shins and laughing what would you do

I think anything reflective would work, but CDs are pretty much everywhere and, if not, you could find some for free.

She must have been a really, sad lonely person on the inside. She missed out.

I will be that kind of awesome grandmother too!

Also I didn't restrict access, I just said no to the babysitting pleas.
It didn't matter. 8 months later on the day of that baby's much delayed baptism ( because of family differences) she boycotted to emphasize her displeasure. Then banned us from "the family".
We didn't see her for 15 years.
By the time she was interested in being a grandmother, at least to that child, he was a teenager.
He had a fabulous relationship with his other grandmother.
He wasn't interested at all and had no need for another Grammy.
Neither was his brother.
The two little ones were more receptive to meeting her but never really developed anything even close to a relationship with her which is sad.
She died suddenly a little over a year ago.
We all felt sorry for my husband's loss but didn't feel any real personal loss at her passing.

We have lots of hawks, which is why I keep mine locked up. And foxes that pass through the yard all day.
Just a rambling but I have been having some problems lately with hawks. The good thing is my roosters are doing their job and keeping the girls safe. Two days ago one was on the ground trying to get past my bantam Hannibal. The following day they kept sounding the alarm and I thought I was going to have to lock them up for a few days until hawk went on. I decided to put some of my Halloween ornaments out back just the ones that looked like people you know a skeleton man, Frankenstein, a scarecrow, and a big fake wolf. So far no alarms and I haven't seen the hawk. I think I will move everything around tomorrow just so it all looks new and different
