We have worked really hard to get good credit. I definitely don't want to risk that.

We have 2 vehicles that will be paid off really soon then can apply that money to other things.

No credit cards here at all. Those things are the devil.

Ugh, awkward chickens mating is ...awkward. Always in front of me too, plenty of private areas to get down but nope, best spot is in front of me. I must really look bored when I go out there.

I went nearly 20 years without them, when I started thinking about buying the farm, the bank was like you have no credit history... I took out 3 cards and paid my monthly bills with them and paid them off every month. Credit history didn't change. Then I was told I need to carry a balance from month to month. So I followed advice and my score shot through the roof, i paid everyone off and it didn't change. It's all a game to get you to pay more $$ for the dollars you need.

Iv'e just got one that always carries a decent balance, it made my score go through the roof. Now I get offers geared toward people who actually have money which is dumb because I don't.
The financial system is screwy.

It's a really painfully annoying game.

I bank with a credit union. I am lucky that my line of credit shows up as if it were a credit card.
That's the whole reason we set one up actually.

I was the same. I didn't exist on paper. I wanted it that way but to do anything you need credit. So I had to get a secured card. I gave them $300 of my money to use as credit. Duh....it's my money. But it worked and I have a great credit score.
