Official Squatch Watchers

Morning folks :frow

Rae I hope T1 is a lot better soon. Hopefully a short lived bug:fl
I think it is. DH's cousin's little girl stopped throwing up about 12 hours into the illness. He had his first episode of diarrhea before Thing 1 and I came back from visiting my parents last night. So I hope it is all upward from here. We have a LOT of laundry to catch up on.

I couldn’t remember why I never bought any at TSC, isn’t it because you have to buy 10?

It has been a while. What is the lastest and greatest with you?
Here, at least, there's a 6 chick min, ducks are 3. IDK if that's an Ohio thing or everywhere.

Well I just lost a piglet that was dumped by mom,but my niece who was subject of an amber alert was found safe and sound. Ben on a bit of an emotional roller coaster.
Wow, what a crazy time for you. How many piglets do you have now, or was that the last one?

You all know those :barnie moments.

Last night was chicken check night. I do it every Saturday.

Looks like I am going to be very busy today. :(
My cross beaked Orpington has mites.....that means EVERYONE needs treated, coop cleanout, spray everyone and everything.
:barnie

I have been awake for an hour and a half. I woke up in a panic having had nightmares about bugs.
:sick :barnie
That really sucks. Hopefully the treatment works and it's warmer when you do the 2nd treatment so you can use the spray.

Not good. I would have preferred she poked herself in the eye. Her and Clayton are now in my laundry room.

They are both snotty with runny eyes. :he I can see little bits of junk in her mouth, but not his. Their lungs sound fine. Everyone else looks ok. Jr seems a little off but from what I can see I don’t see any chicken boogers... I’ll have to tackle him later.
Researching now....
Have you posted in the emergency thread? I've not dealt w/ this, but I was thinking the vetrx stuff too, but I have no idea what I'm doing so something else might be better.

I been thinking about your previous mold issue......

Maybe get the pallets out into the sun, spread stall dry or sweet PDZ where the pallets were. I would go thick like 2-3 inches minimum. Then spray the pallets with vinegar or bleach and let dry in the sun before putting back in.

For the sickies Chicky linked a med that should work.

I know you plan to add windows......soon might be a good idea. Bad air out good air in and all that.
x2 the pdz... Do you see any mold growing up your walls? I would probably take a shovel and scrap off the top layer of dirt before you put down the pdz. Of course, your post is days old so you've probably taken care of all of this.. Are any of the others having problems? Are the sick ones all the little ones? That may be a sign that the bigger ones could also be affected.. they're just taking longer to show it b/c they're bigger. (Canary in a coal mine effect).

I'm overwhelmed at the moment. I can't believe they are sick. I was under the weather for a few days but how could I not notice.
The 3 in the house seem to feel a little better now that I cleaned their noses. I'm going to load everyone up on propolis and try to get the coop dryer.
Sorry this is happening, but don't feel bad about missing it. My bird's toe was literally rotting off and I didn't notice it... Who knows how long it was like that. Sometimes things spring up fast, it's possible there was nothing to notice until you saw it.

Well, after the 4th time he threw up, he wasn't messing up everything in his bed. I had it set up so his 3rd pillow was protected from throw up with a bed pad and doubled up towel, and he had a blanket to keep him warm. Since he was sleeping through each puke bout, I was able to get some sleep. But at 6:45am, Thing 1 just woke up with the nastiest diaper I have ever seen. It was full to overflowing out all sides and I had to have DH take care of cleaning him up because I almost puked all over him. My gag reflex is super sensitive right now.

We think he caught it from my DH's cousin's kid, who woke up puking Saturday morning. Thing 1 kept trying to drink out of her cups on Friday and Saturday afternoon.
Poor kid. I hope it passes quickly & no one else gets it. Hopefully this can be a learning lesson about drinking after others.

One can hope. I told him this morning, "This is why we don't drink from other people's cups. You get sick." and he sat up an said "Don't drink! That is M's (cousin's daughter name shortened) cup!"
