@Sassysouth I think giving her a more solid mix once a day would be better, she's getting a lot of fluids in the tube feeding. If you can use a mix thick enough to roll into small balls it will help solidify her poops. You just plop her on your lap, take a small amount of the mix, about the size of the last joint of your pinky, and roll it in to a ball. Hold it in your dominant hand, between your thumb and forefinger, so that you can get it to the back of her throat quickly. With your non dominant hand, cover her eyes and slowly work on opening her mouth. Don't force it, she will relax and let you do it, it just might take a few tries. Using the middle finger on your dominant hand, open her mouth far enough to put the ball of food at the back of the mouth and then let her swallow. If she sits it out, repeat the process and put the food a little further back. Repeat until you are comfortable with how much she gets in. It will take a little practice, so don't get frustrated, just do your best and call however much you get in the first couple good. One you get better, shoot for the last feeding of the day to be this one, and fill her crop, leaving enough room for a drink of water. This should help with runny poops and weight gain.

I will give it try. It does take quite a bit of water to get the food thin enough for the tube.

A small file from the hardware section will work for the beak, too. I flip Gurtrude on her back, hold her upper break in one hand and file it down, rounding the tip before letting her up. She's not thrilled about it, but she doesn't fight it tooth and nail, either. Just be careful to not get too short, there is a line that you can see on her beak, don't get closer than 1/8th inch to that. Ideally, the top beak will be just past the tip of the lower one.

I will try to get some video for feeding and filing the beak to post.

A little less than 2 months to go. Or a little more if this baby wants to be late like big brother.
