I'm going to have to put an end on the one roost without one.
I got a rooster sumo'ed on me, not fun for either of us.
Still can't get over the leverage that girl gets. When she's mad she does it fast and still makes that noise the whole push.
I wonder if any of her girls got the "gift".:gig

You don’t need to scorch them to a cinder. You just need to touch the weeds until they start wilting. Some bigger plants may come back as they have bigger roots, but grasses should die.

Thing 1 is fine. He’s a bit overly enthusiastic and rough but he takes out any disappointment or jealousy out on us by being extra naughty. We are all settling in well. We just need to get all the rest of our crap moved out of the farmhouse.

I like the longer wand Bob. You should be able to get to the crowns of the weeds from a good distance with that.
If you burn the crowns completely most if not all of the runners should die too. Some weeds have enough energy stored in the runners to flower and still seed.
What kind of weeds are you dealing with? Long strong runners or a million individual plants?

Have you looked at a drag behind rake?

It doesn't need to be fancy to work at gathering the weed remains.
I made one out of an old chain link gate and weighed it down with cinder blocks. I found having the front raised a couple inches helped gather the weeds so I had my weights 2/3rds of the way to the back.
I drug it behind my truck lol. No fancy atv needed.
 
These are some kind of vines. They are thick and running over the top of the drive. What I really need is a bush hog and a riding lawn mower but those are in the distant future. In the mean time I need to push these things back off the drive, cut a bunch of bamboo back and trim a couple of trees. It's amazing how quickly nature will over take something.
