Morning everyone.

They are forecasting rain here.....1/10th of an inch.
:lau

Yeah I will be watering the garden. :gig

Lots of yellow squash to pick today. :)
It does not look to be a good year for tomatoes for me. I guess that is ok. Nothing I have done has had much of a result so I must accept it.
The mammoth sunflowers are about 8' tall now and looking good. I am hoping for blooms soon on those. I have never grown them before so it's kind of fun.

Shoveling before the rain, we just got the trimmings and litter shoveled up, and tomorrow's rain came today. Shoveling in the monsoon heat does get you wet, with sweat that can't evaporate to cool you off! I was glad when the rain started, temp dropped 20 degrees. I got lots of nice litter saved, dry in hefty sacks. Chicks will have a nice fluffy brooder! No leaks in the chicken house, but a duck pond worth of water is right where I want a chicken yard!
Wouldn't you just love to be a weather person.. wrong most of the time and you still get to keep your job.

Me as a drowned rat after putting in the window! LOL I was so hot when it started to rain I went and stood in it. Pretty sure steam came off my head.
Great job! Are the chickens loving it or horrified that you changed something?

Pup is going through the hairless gangly age.

Wow... I didn't realize how tiny your puppy was from the alone pics, but compared to the cat it's soooo little. How big will it get?

I heard from the girl this morning and her chicken didn’t make it through the night.
I hope everyone is well. All I have done today is be a taxi service for my son, and that won’t end any time soon. When I do get to sit down, I just want to veg-out on Candy Crush and the many shows I am trying to catch up on.
That's too bad. Hopefully whatever it was doesn't spread to anyone else.

Good morning! Nice and squishy out there which means it will be a sauna by noon oh boy lol.
Little rooster is trying hard to woo the older girls, he's gotten flogged three or four times since I let them out.
He'll learn, maybe.:)
Narrator: He won't learn.

I went to TSC on Sunday and they have chicks & ducks again. They had a nice little pile in 3 bins.. didn't get any but they sure were cute and fluffy.

I noticed pin feathers on the back of one of my amberlink's last night. She's had quite a bald spot.. either someone's pecking them, or she was just not filling them in. I was thinking about making her a saddle til I saw the pins, but I think I'm going to just cage her til they fill in if they're being messed with. I got a bag of calf manna so hopefully that will help give them a boost to get those feathers in faster. I also noticed that the feather fixer and layer pellets I buy were cheaper than they had been. I'm hoping they stay that way.

I would be surprised if she weighed more than 10 pounds as an adult. Toy dogs can be really small.

Rural King sells their laying pellets for $8.99 every day!

I must not go to TSC!! Good heavens they are way to close to me!!

This spring I could have bought light Brahma for 50 cents each at a month old.
:th
Lord only knows what might happen if I find cheap chicks now!
Yeah, I know what you mean! Rural King always has chicks, rabbits, and sometimes ducks, turkeys and pheasants!
