Oh wow. I've heard of cats & dogs opening doors by jumping on them esp the ones w/ the bar type handles, but not actual door knobs.

Sounds like a busy weekend. I hope you have a safe trip & everything goes well.

Yeah, Jack has been a fun dog. :lau
He is way to smart for his own good.
Sometimes I am to slow heading out with them. I am grabbing chicken treats or food.
I am seriously 20 seconds behind them. Jack will have opened the kennel to let everyone in.
I have a good laugh when he manages to close the females in the run and him on the house side. He has to literally pull the gate shut to do it.
I have had smart dogs but he takes the cake. :love

I guess you don't have to worry about them being trapped inside and starving to death if something happens to you.

My Cockers could never reach a door knob but my smallest one used to stare at the door until someone reached over her and opened it. She still believed it was her staring that did the trick. So I didn't want to quash her fantasy.

Ohhhhhh!!! Mind control! I bet she was proud every time it worked.

True that!
A few years back Jack opened one to many gates and went walkabout with his brother. That cost a few thousand getting fines paid and them bailed out of jail.

I can imagine the dog warden didn't believe you when you said he can open doors.

Oh they believed me. He had gotten loose in the "dog at large" area at the pound a couple times before they checked the camera and saw him open his gate there.

Round knobs are hard for him but he still manages. :p

That's hilarious! Until you get the bill.

I was very lucky the judge reduced the $ too. It could have been $6,000 for all the carp they did.
They went inside Walgreens, through the cemetery, into dairy queen, Carl's junior and taco bell. Then they led the control officer on a 2 hour chase ending in the lake. He had to go cheat deep with a catch pole to poke one while hoping the other didn't attack or drown him.

Truth be told I was very grateful for the officers efforts and to have them home safely. They were back and forth across 2 major highways.

Good afternoon! I'm late, my phone battery physically died so iv'e been trying to get another.
Fortunately and unfortunatly my cheapo takes a common battery, last store I was going to try had one left open package too so 20% off. :yesss:

Lol! Sounds like you had fun.
Geeze that skunk, almost stepped out on it squealed and literally had to stop moving.
This is one of the skunks that has seen me all summer since it was tiny and it isn't one bit wary of me.
I call it Albert, it only has white on top of it's head.
It is only a matter of time before I get skunked, feel it in me bones.:lau
Morning y'all.

Lots of big thunder during the night. Yes that meant my old dog was freaked out.
It doesn't look like any rain came with the noise.

One of our girls has learned to open gates. They both had a grand time running around the big chicken run scaring birds. :hmm
The gates now have hooks on the latches.
I have around the big run planted thick getting them out of that area was a challenge.

Nothing quite compared to Chicky's skunk playing with a broom. :lau
That is quite a visual there. It is a good thing he didn't release the stink. :sick

Lol, I would never poke a random skunk, I wouldn't have to.
If they see you enough when they're young and you don't hurt them they aren't afraid.
Normal skunk will go away or not even come near to begin with.
The deer sees the chicken herd are beyond fine so it is too.
Deer is bigger than me anyway, im definitely more scared of it.:D
You are a very brave woman. I would never engage a skunk.. you must be more in tune w/ nature than anyone ever.

Sounds like something my kid would do. She went to school today wearing a regular knee brace instead of the immobilizer. She said she's going to march during band & refused to take the note from the er that says she shouldn't. I told her this morning when she's sitting in a wheelchair b/c she had to have surgery on her knee I don't want to hear her crying about it. I told her if she wanted a ride home from school to let me know b/c I'm not a complete monster but she's going to be hurting later and I want her to feel that pain b/c maybe she'll listen [she won't].

When you say girls do you mean dogs, pigs, people?

For real Kiwi? No chickens around when I put that pot down, go inside for 2mins tops and boom....Kiwi.
