Official Squatch Watchers

PIC has 2 middle names, and the initials are... MD! No foolin!

@staceyj (But to ALL of my SWers).

I did have a brief breakdown... but BYC was the straw that broke this camels back. Fighting with my mom and how she has been lying to me the last couple of months; found out DH might get deployed before he can retire, and this deployment wouldn't be as *cushy* of one as the 2 trips to Qatar... minor homesteading setbacks, along with a broken ass ZombieMobile.... everything just kind of came to a head when that post was deleted. Although I KNOW it wasn't personal, it just struck the correct *last nerve* I was already on.

I really hope everyone has forgiven me for whatever crazy arsed thing I said or did. I take NONE of the responsibility, as you people drive me nuts! :gig
So sorry you have to deal with all of that. Not fun at the best of times.:hugs
This too will pass. Do the best you can with what you have. Make the best out of each day and love your husband and child. We are stuck with our parents, we didn't choose them.
And remember we luvs ya!

One more thing.

Lol oh lol
DH just told me he heard on the news about avocados being developed without seeds, for among other things, the vast number of people who wind up in emergency rooms with
"Avocado hand".

Oh goodness, HUMANS!

If you aren't capable of getting your avocado apart without machete-ing half your hand off,
PLEASE JUST BUY THE PREMADE GUACAMOLE !
*this was a public service announcement.
I know that everyone here are certified safe knife handlers.*

No harm. No fowl smuv.
We love ya.
Sorry about all the pressure.
Glad you told us.
A heavy load is lighter when it's weight is shared by many.

Besides I break down more often than a Volvo !

NPIP is $10. Vet, I have no idea. I bet is it more than $10 though.
We had to get our dog and cat certified by a vet to fly them across country a while back. It was pretty pricy if I remember correctly.
And our own vet wouldn't do it because he didn't want to get "tangled up in litigation if something happened to them in flight."

When my kids were little and i was home with them most of the time hubby offered to watch them and the dogs while i went to Hawaii for three weeks! That was some serious mental health rehab there! My parents were taking a tour group so i went along.

@staceyj thanks! Love you! I really just need to know he is normal! I worry so much about mental illness since it runs in my family and he is such a mini-me.
He's FINE.
NORMAL EVEN!
Developmentally right on track for mouthy behavior.
If he were a girl you'd just have a tangible "sign" as proof.

My grandmother likes to remind me how perfect I was until I hit this stage too. Guess I have it coming ;) I have never seen him act so smug and cocky. It was nuts!
My husband is selling most of his business and will work from home, probably next year. With a growing pre-teen, I think this will be a good thing. Me and the child have been closely bonded for 11+ years. Their bonding has been very intermittent and the child needs more man time and learn more skills a man should possess.

I think I was headed for a breakdown right around the beginning of July, when I drove down to FL with the PIC and a dog, stayed a month with NO PROGRESS (easy answer: Gma needs to go into rest home, which she didn't. Mom is a hoarder and wouldn't let me clean much of anything). So, a month later I drive back with PIC, dog, Mom and her 2 keets. Mom stayed here for 2 months and didn't do JACK.... kind of less than jack... unless it was about her keets, the dog(s) (we got Buddy while she was here) and the chickens. This was supposed to be a trial of how we'd coexist when she comes to live with us. It sucked pretty damn bad.

Everything just kinda steam rolled from there. We need supplies for the stead but no car to go get them. Although we COULD borrow the neighbors truck, I'm not a huge fan of doing that..... hopefully, we'll have the ZombieMobile *fixed* tomorrow!

And then, DH's got *locked*, meaning IF his unit deploys before his paperwork goes through for retirement, he will be deployed with them. So far, he STILL hasn't filled out the paperwork IN FULL... so that puts my knickers is a HUGE twist.

I was a woman on the edge, I tells ya... On.The.Edge! I am back to my regularly scheduled crazy self, so NO WORRIES.

OH... and wanna hear something interesting? Since it's been so cold, DH and I were going to take the Zombie up to a local mechanic, less than a 3 mile drive away. After telling him what was wrong, what we need done, etc... he quotes us $60 for a tow, and he would HAVE TO charge us $75 for a diagnostic, even though we already know what the issue is and bought a BRAND NEW part to install. Yeesh. Plus, he said that something totally not related could be a problem as well. Dude, ever heard of Google?
