I'm doing well, work is driving me nuts... Chicks and ducks are doing well. Pigs, I need to figure out how to get them off the ground and into the tub on their journey to the freezer. Waiting for cooler weather to start.

Butt magic is VERY confusing.
I have seen pullets run around like they tail is on fire.
All my colored layers have adjusted to this strange new thing.
Bitty and Smudge were both on the roost last night. Hopefully they stay off the nest.

Pully and rope system? I think that is how they dealt with it on the ranch when I was little.....It has been a few years so kind of fuzzy.

Yup. I need to build an A-Frame. We need to get the tub where it's going to be... Hoping I can talk the neighbor into using his tractor to set it on the blocks. Harbor Freight has an elegant solution for $700 but not in my budget. So block and tackle on an A-frame is gonna have to work.

Puppy comes home on the 24th of October. She is still a tiny baby and needs her mom.
She will be exactly 8 weeks the 24th.

It is looking like I will be puppy sitting this Friday afternoon so I can get a few pics then.

That seems so far away. How big is she now? Compare her to a food product otherwise I have no idea. An ice cream sandwich? a 6" subway sandwich?

Maybe he does, a little cat bowl or something with Bob all fancy on the side.
He's obviously staying so might as well.
Those bots are so gross, and the wilder squirrels are loaded down it looks horribly painful.
Goats normally get them too but iv'e not seen any on either neighbors goats.
Got my birthday sweater and I can already tell im going to wear the crap out of it.
She got me an XL so butt will be covered, and the yarn is soft not scratchy.
Only thing I might tack a jingle bell to the rooster's little hat so I can be as annoying as possible.
Started altering the slutterfly costume, added a good 5inches of tutu at the bottom and let out the waist a little.
Im working with 10lbs of slutterfly but only a 5lb sack.
Chick who gave it to me is pretty much the same size as me so either her weight is distrubeted wildly differently than mine oooor she has no issues with showing the world about a quarter of her butt cheeks.
The thing is o.k until you see the back then its moon city.

Sounds more like she wore something under it & wore that more like a top.

My stress test was normal!

O.k girl says "wear booty shorts" under the slutterfly costume.
1. I don't own any booty shorts, im 44 flippin years old.
2. If I did own booty shorts they'd shortly be eaten by my booty.
3.She's 45, and I don't know about her now.

Booty shorts can be any tight fitting shorts, but I like the leggings idea better b/c it'll give you a better silhouette. I'd never wear booty shorts in public, esp if the thing I'm wearing doesn't cover my booty. I make my girls wear booty shorts under their dresses, they're tall so when they slightly bend over in anything you see London and France.

I'm 72 and just discovered slim fit blue jean leggings that fit at true waist and you just pull on. Cannot believe how very comfortable they are without a zipper etc. So much easier and faster. Plus they provide some gentle support that makes the muscles happy.

I bought one pair from LandsEnd- then ordered two more. I expect they will be the only jeans I wear till it's cold enough to need fleece lined ones. I had ordered my regular size and they were a bit too loose. I ordered more in a size smaller - perfect. Plus I washed the original pair in hotter water hoping to shrink them a bit. It worked and now I am keeping them also.

I live in jeans - even in summer because I have to avoid sunburn and can't count on the lotions. Plus worry about lyme ticks, etc. At the time they were 40% off. But often they have 50% on full price item. I don't work for LE and definitely don't get compensated for my review. Just happy for myself. You can return things you don't care for and will get full refund whether you wore them awhile or not. Also they will shorten to the length you want. I didn't have mine shortened because there is just a tiny bit I fold up. I am - 5F tall. Believe you can get them also in black, etc. But never cared for black pants, they tend to look dusty.

Ooo those sound nice. I don't wear slim fit jeans though.. I'm stuck in the 90s so everything is boot cut. I feel weird when my pants bunch up. I'm short, but not short enough for petite. Smart to buy several b/c now that you've found something you like they're stop making it.

Good luck, that sounds like a lot of work no matter how you do it. How many of the pigs will you process? All of them?

She is tiny....like about 4-5# and 8" long not including tail. Laying along my forearm her head in my hand, her bottom does not reach my elbow.

All of them, but one at a time. Not sure how long it's going to take me to process and cut into primals/subprimals to fit in the cooler.

ETA: We're going to start with the middle sized one to be sure our process works.

The biggest is almost 8# and the average is close to 6.5#. The size difference is dramatic when you see them side by side.
Of course the biggest is a large male called Hercules.

The one we chose is the smallest in the group. We didn't choose her BECAUSE she is smallest. We chose based on temperament. This tiny girl although laid back about being handled is also spunky when playing with her litter mates even wrestling with the biggest puppy.

I doubt she will stay small for long.
