Today, DD (the grad student) wanted to go to a craft store today to get supplies to make her BF a special Christmas card.

Towards this effort she spent $27 on said supplies.

While she was amassing huge quantities of options in her basket, I looked at pretty much everything else in the store.
This girl takes forever to make up her mind.
I DID see these though and thought you guys would like them.

That sux bad. I am certainly no expert at all with that sort of thing. I do personally not think it is as tumor.
If its a fluid pocket do you think you can drain it?
Do you have antibiotics on hand?

I have not inserted a finger to check for an egg. It did cross my mind the past week since she quit laying.

I couldn’t do it, but I don’t think it is an abcess.
I don’t do well with sick animals, which is why I decided not to pursue being a veterinarian. I volunteered 1 week at a vet office and never again. I took the nursing home. Sick people don’t bother me.

If you think it’s fluid filled you can drain it with a needle and syringe. If it’s really full you can use the needle and no syringe.

I did this for one of my first girls hoping to prolong her life. It unfortunately didn’t work and I had to have her put down.

Y’all. I don’t think I can cull my own chicken. After reading about internal laying, I bet that is what is going on. My husband is going to get tired of having to cull my chooks. Although, it shouldn’t bother him, he is a hunter. I know she is uncomfortable because she won’t lay down. And that area is tender.

Poor thing!
I haven't had to do it yet and am not looking forward to it.
When you examined her internally did you feel anything? Also (sorry this is a gross question), but in an effort to learn... what was on your finger?
Poop? Egg matter? Or nothing?
