I am having trouble finding 1/4" elastic.

Last I saw Missouri Star quilt company had 144 yard rolls for $70.
Everyone else is still showing zero.

I am making bias tape for straps on the ones I am making.

I have some 3/8" elastic but it is either WAY to sloppy or to tight. Not enough play in it. If that makes sense.

This is what we found to be best fitting, easiest to make and most adjustable.

My winging it pattern.

I was in Walmart and looked for some for chicken saddles. Not thinking that it was the next hoarded item. There was no elastic in any size and all the precut fat quarters of fabric where gone too. 🤦🏻‍♀️
All I could picture was people with 1" elastic stretched behind their ears.
I cut the wider elastic into thinner strips.

Cleaned and dismantled the brooder and moved it back into storage. Cleaned and swept my office. I can finally use it for work again :wee

Normally I really don’t mind having the little babies inside, but during lockdown I need to be be able to work from home...and I couldn’t even get to my desk. Plus fluffbutts are sooooo distracting.

I am rehabbing one of the brooders. It had a wire floor and I want one with a solid floor. And I want to make it taller to make more room for the heat lamp. Today I got the floor installed. I should look and see if I have vinyl flooring to put in. I think I do. Hubby helped me move it, I want to make a small run for it.

Sounds like a great project!
