The sun is just rising here. Looks like a good day to work on my chicken run. The wire roof is coming off and a metal roof going on. That means I can get rolling on framing a duck house this week.

Good morning! It was chilly here too 39 so still not as bad as what Bob got but still very odd.
Tucks is still improving slowly, she roosted waaay early yesterday but would eat "treatish" food if I brought it and held it.
She wasn't being picky either, she'd wolf it down so I think she was using me for delivery.
Anyway, filled her up with boiled egg yolks and she seems improved but still a tad spacey today.

Igors eye refilled.
Not sure what else I can do. A scalpel to slice it worries me. If it is refilling and I don’t know why what if it doesn’t stop leaking. I’ll have to hold off for now anyway to not stress the poor thing more.

It’s cold here! I’ve gotten light snow that last 2 days. I wore shorts last weekend. Now I need a parka.

Nunny, if it refilled that fast a slice might be your only option unless you can shunt it somehow maybe a hollow needle?
If that dosen't work the last resort is to remove it and let the orbit heal over.
Poor Igor, going to suck for both of you if you have to do that but the eye is useless anyway.

Hi guys.

We got pretty cold here last night. Don’t know how cold though. I lost one keet yesterday and the last one was acting weird, like it was having seizures (it was twitching it’s head). Well, this morning I found that last keet dead, one chick dead, and another 3/4ths dead. That one is in the lockdown incubator now. But it doesn’t look good. Poor thing is so thin even it’s toes look emaciated.

In other news, we finally found a good use for the top half of the built in hutch that came with our house. We are using the bottom half as our entertainment center (what I have my incubators on). This is up above my work desk.
