Less than a minute, my guess!A math question.......maybe more of a riddle.......
How long does it take 7 ducks to decimate an entire head of romaine lettuce?
The answer is I should have bought more.....a lot more.....it was under 1 minute.
Now I read the fine print, LOL!A math question.......maybe more of a riddle.......

You can't grow enough lettuce to fill up a duck!It was totally gone....nothing at all left in under a minute. I was a bit shocked!
Now looking for my lettuce seeds so I can have a fall crop.....a HUGE fall crop if I am sharing with them.
You can't grow enough lettuce to fill up a duck!![]()
A long time ago, I used to get the excess produce from the local grocery store. I am sure the organic trimmings would be nice for the ducks.Well crud!
Maybe enough to cut down the grocery bill? Here Romaine is going for $2 a head. At $2 times 6 heads a week times 52 weeks a year.......that is $624 a year!
For the love of a duck that is a lot of lettuce! (Made a funny there I did)
If I can make a dent AND know how it was grown.....![]()

They love anything green. Worse than chickens for garden destruction! Fast growing, heat loving millet makes a nice green thing for them in a pretty short time.Back when I had rabbits I used to as well. Now......they all have contracts with ranches to buy the trimmings and wilty for cheap. I asked about it when I had 42 chickens.
I did pull up the yellow onions to cure them so have 2 empty spots right now. I wish the picky things would eat zucchini shreds and cucumbers and other extras I have.
