Good morning everyone. :frow

With rain/s-word coming this evening and for the next 2 days I am anxiously awaiting sunrise. I have been up since 2 so the wait is excruciating.

I have the windows off the duck house and set up for primer.......I will have to wipe the ash off them first. I would use the paint sprayer but that means waiting til 8.....I don't have that kind of time.
Well, at least it’ll put out the fire(s), right?
But still, snow in September. Is that common for you? I don’t have friends or family in CO, so I never paid close attention before.
I still can’t believe your noise ordinance starts so late.

We sure hope the S knocks the fire out. We will settle for slowing enough the teams can stop it. I think we need a good 3-4 day steady slow rain to really knock it out.

Snow in September.....not a norm but happens. Shoot I have seen snow on the 4th of July. That was a one time thing though.

Yes the no noise til 8 is rather late. I really do try to be respectful as one of my neighbors is an ICU nurse that works the graveyard shift.

I was finally brave enough to look at the forecast.
Tonight high winds bringing in a cold front. Tomorrow's high is forecast to be 60+ degrees colder than todays. 6-12" snow expected. 😳
Stay warm... You're the second person this morning with that four letter word in the forecast.
good morning and stay safe everyone
:frow Good morning Cheepteach, have a great day

I will do my best Bob. It is certainly a shocking temp drop.
Mostly....freezing or not....I must get things done outside.

That fox brought my duck water drain security to the forefront of my worries....well just after getting their windows back on.

I got the 4 of them primed. To save time when that is dry I am going to just shoot all the trim and windows with the shed wall color. I can always get the trim painted "trim" color on a warmer day when I have a chance. For now.....protect that wood is good.

I need to fully build one. :hmm

So we finally finished hanging the first layer of wire and saved the door for last. The handle fit great and the gatepost latch is just a touch too big. No biggie though, we put it up anyway. Everything looks great and ready for finishing touches tomorrow. Open the door to put up the girls ..... umm, hmmm, the door opens inward and the gatepost latch is on the outside.
Yup. Time to call it a night. But not before we take off the latch so we can let the girls in the coop. :lau :caf
I attached a pic of the latch for reference.
I was going to use that kind but thought for sure I would lock myself in the run. I'd fit through the pop door but it wouldn't be pretty. In the end I used this kind of latch. Screenshot_20200907-095603_Chrome.jpg
ERMAGERD!!!! Sitting in the (was silent house) and out front, rather close, a fox gave that awful scream they do.
That set 3 out of 5 dogs off. I dare say they were telling it to keep on moving.

It did set my hair on end for sure though.
I've never heard that noise in real life. I would probably need a new pair of pants.

As someone who works late and likes to sleep late I can tell you she appreciates it.

The door curtains would look more weird lowered. They wouldn't be low enough to see over or they would be cutting a pane of glass in half. The door is 3 horizontal panes. So I think just adding to the bottom would be easier.
It's pouring here. I didn't even let the birds out. Looks like its past 5pm. So dreary.
