Thanks Bob, he was 91, he had lived a good life and the dementia took him away a while back. It was his time.
I was fortunate.... Dad, called on Friday and wanted me to turn off the oxygen with my power of attorney. Mom couldn't do it. I told him I'd come out on Monday and if he still wanted that, I'd sign the order, but wasn't going to do it over the phone. I was in DC and he was in the Chicago land area. He passed peacefully on Saturday. Its never easy but sometimes its time.

Well I spent what is normally a fairly crummy day hanging out with the herd.
I don't speak very much about days that mark me deeply but today was the last full day and night I spent with my dad five years ago.
I kept the night shift for mom so she could try to rest a little knowing he was being watched after.
I watched Frasier for a while then a tribute with Celine Dion singing.
I then heard my very medicated father clearly demand I shut that god awful beech up and get him a popsicle.
I still lol about that, im weird sue me! :D

I just had to get inside the pen with them,today.

OMG. Thing 2 is too cute. I just put Thing 1 in bed and I walk into the room where DH took Thing 2 with him. I saw him leafing through a book, fairly gently. I put on a mock stern face and put my hands on my hips and said "What do you think you're doing?" and he looked up at me, smirked, waved the book in my direction and said, with glee "Read!"

How is this kid only 14 months?

@Kiki

He has a big brother to learn from as well as the rest of the family.

Second kids always seem to develop so much faster than the first.

It really is amazing to watch them grow. 💕
