Official Squatch Watchers

We are also overcast, windy and chilly :(
I didnt get all my stuff done I wanted to do yesterday and now I dont want to be out there.

I bought a hole saw, backer rod and caulk finally. That coop should be dry as a desert now. Until I cut in the planned holes for ventilation anyway, lol!
Their roof is almost exactly the same size as the coop, nearly zero overhang. How is that going to work with the ventilation holes and driving rain? I imagine I need to reconfigure their roof, huh?
Ugh, I have a distinct feeling I’m seeing a coop rebuild in my future. My budget is next to nothing since hubs job change though :(
I do have a nearly endless supply of pallets and screws are fairly inexpensive, but the other hardware and roofing are pricey. Well, at least its coming winter so I can buy a few things at a time until spring when I can start the process. In the meantime I’ll be reading everyone’s coop stories on here and wishing I had actual skills. Lol

How big of holes are you making?

Simple awnings on the outside will keep rain out. Remember seeing awnings over doorways to businesses and on older homes? Yup they don't have to be fancy to work well.
A SUPER quick visual just so you can see what I am talking about.

Wrong link!! Hang on!

Thinking metal shelf brackets on the sides and wood not plastic would be inexpensive and quick.
