Good morning folks :frow

When I do ducks and turkeys for that matter, I do better if I set the temp a little higher 99.8F and humidity 40-45%. I know a lot of folks who "dry hatch" their ducks but those who are successful live in high humidity climates. 4 quitters that early could be a function of the age of the parents and fertility. I'm thrilled if I get an 80% hatch including those that weren't fertile.
Thanks!
All had some growth, no infertile eggs with those boys! A lot less problems now that those 2 are in the freezer. (Well 1 in the freezer still)! If Some more quit, next batch I will try and change the settings on this incubator. I just went with the 99.5 and 50% because that is what is pre-set. Our humidity is so low that I keep a cup of water in the room with the incubator, which I could remove. The Golden Cascade was pretty tasty, less fat than a Pekin. Hard on the ducks, he needed at least 6 ducks just to himself!

I am sure you spent some time talking to him about it. I hope he is feeling better about things today. :hugs
Sort of. Things have changed for him in that regard now that he's an adult. The pandemic hasn't helped. Lots more people going to psych, so lots less seeing new patients. He doesnt eat well or sleep, but you cant convince him how much better he would feel if he tried to improve those habits. And dont get me started on being outside and doing anything active. He thinks pills fix everything. Pills certainly help when necessary, but they're not a fix-all.
