Official Squatch Watchers

Hubs is trying to get me to go to the beach this spring. I would like to but it's not fun anymore. I'd have to get the neighbors to chicken sit and i don't get to enjoy the beach hubs can't keep up with me walking the strand. He gets tired, his feet are soft it just wrecks the poor dude.

I take for granted that the beach is a short drive away. To Lake Erie but a beach none the less.

All these chickie pictures are making me want littles! No more boys though...can't do it!

That's about what Odin and Willie's combs look like. Damn this freeze. I know it happens and people are like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but I don't see where frostbite is ok or acceptable in any creature. I'm not sure what to do about it either. I've been bag balming mine too. I saw a post where someone made a hat! Cute idea, but IDK if mine would accept it and if others wouldn't go after it. Plus it wouldn't help for Odin's waddles.. it'd end up looking like a bra or a cup depending on if you keep the waddles together or separate. AND he'd still get it in his water.

Question: Does anyone know what kind of straw/ grass is used to make this?

I bought some of these pads online and they seem to like them, but I'd rather just get the straw than buy the who pad since they seem to think they can just peel the straw off the paper backing anyway.
Is that sisal
