Just got back from another ER visit. Have the flu. I'm gonna miss 3 days of school, and three pretty important days too. Oh well. At least I won't get my friends sick.
K I'm leaving again. Just can't stay away.
Are they getting enough heat
Hmmm you said they don't get to run around much that might be the problemThey do get grit.
We leave their doors open, but they choose to stay inside. I'm sure things will straighten out once things warm up.Hmmm you said they don't get to run around much that might be the problem
Yeah, we researched the climate here before we moved, and it was not supposed to get this cold!We leave their doors open, but they choose to stay inside. I'm sure things will straighten out once things warm up.
This has been the coldest stretch I've ever experienced. There were individual weeks in the past that were in the teens at night and upper 20s during the day with maybe one or two nights dipping into the single digits. This has been unremitting cold for almost 4 weeks with only 1 day over freezing and at least half the days under 20 degrees.
This has determined me to have better winter quarters for my birds set up for next year. The mobile coops aren't cutting it.
One nice thing about it being this cold, no mud! Last year, our property was a mud pit all winter.Yeah, we researched the climate here before we moved, and it was not supposed to get this cold!
